The Christmas season is one of great significance particularly in the culture that we live in. Storefronts and homes are adorned with Christmas lights and decorations. Commercials switch to the traditional red and green backdrop. Christmas carols take over the airwaves. And while all of these things certainly add festiveness and a cheerful vibe, increasingly, we observe that the true meaning of Christmas often gets lost in all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
Christmas is not just a birthday party for Jesus or a day for distributing gifts. Ultimately, Christmas is a guarantee of God’s presence. It represents God’s ultimate intervention on behalf of fallen mankind.
Join us this upcoming Sunday, December 24th, as we celebrate the real reason for the season–that “the virgin will conceive and bear a Son, and they will call Him ‘Immanuel’–God With Us!”
