But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, ….. but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord”. (Joshua. 24:15)
The greatest power we possess is the power to choose and we are faced with choices daily. Some of them may be trifling, like what we wear, what to eat, what car we drive or what color of the paint for our house. Other choices may be of greater ramifications for the future, like, the schooling, career, where to live, whom to marry and so on.
But no choice is as important as how we respond to our creator. There is no greater choice facing us each and every day of our life than this choice.
The call mainly is to obey God over the excuses that we so often make. “To obey is better than sacrifice”, is what the Word of God says.
God is looking for your obedience that flows from a heart that is yielded to Him, and a life surrendered to His will.
Tremendous blessings come as a result of obeying God. Almost every blessing, deliverance, healing miracles, in the Scriptures is the result of obedience in some form.
What’s the specific area that you decided to obey Him this morning?
